What's the difference between CMS and Static hosting?

CMS plans run MySQL databases and suit database-driven sites: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento. Static plans are for static files (plain HTML, Hugo, Jekyll, 11ty, landing pages, portfolios): more websites, no databases, disk space is the only real limit. Use the switcher at the top of the page to compare both.

Which one should I choose?

Running WordPress or any database-driven CMS? Pick a CMS plan. Hosting plain HTML or a static site generator? Static is cheaper and gives you far more sites for the same storage.

Can I run WordPress on a Static plan?
