MX record (Mail Exchanger)

The MX record also called the Mail Exchanger Record, is the part of the Domain Name System (DNS) that provides information about the mail server that uses your domain name.

You can optionally specify multiple MX records, each with a different priority.ย
The lower the value of your priority, the higher the priority.
If you have MX records with priorities 1 and 5, then the priority "1" record is your primary, and the other is your secondary record.

Follow these steps to create an MX record to allow mail flow for your domain. Keep in mind that only an SPF TXT record of defining the IP address(es) is permitted to send an email on behalf of your domain. Follow this link to see your to get this done.

Navigate to Domains from the main menu, and select DNS Manager.

Click the Edit Zone icon

Click theย Add Record button.

Select MX as the record type. Fill in the details, and click Add Record.

Verify that the MX record exists.

You can easily find your web hosting product's "Server Name" on the product's Overview page.

As already mentioned at the beginning of this article, we will also need to create a TXT record.
