Manage spam rules and quarantined email Print

  • 0

The Spam tab lets you allow trusted senders, block unwanted senders and review messages held in quarantine.

Allow or block a sender

  1. Open your Hosted Email service in the ArkHost Client Area.
  2. Open the Spam tab.
  3. Select Whitelist to always allow a sender, or Blacklist to reject one.
  4. Enter a complete address such as sender@example.com, or use *@example.com for the whole domain.
  5. Select Add.

To remove a rule, select the bin button beside it.

Use allow rules carefully: Allowing an entire domain bypasses normal spam decisions for every address at that domain. Prefer one specific sender when possible.

Review quarantined messages

The Quarantine section shows the sender, recipient, subject, date and spam score for held messages.

  • Select Release to deliver a legitimate message to its recipient.
  • Select the bin button to delete a quarantined message permanently.

If a sender is repeatedly classified incorrectly, release the legitimate message and consider adding the specific sender to the allow list. Do not allow a broad domain merely because of one message.
