Your domain must publish the DNS records shown in the ArkHost Client Area before Hosted Email can reliably receive and send mail.
Find the required records
- Sign in to the ArkHost Client Area and open your Hosted Email service.
- Open the Setup tab.
- Scroll to DNS Records.
The table contains the current MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, automatic-configuration and service-discovery records for your domain. Use the values shown there rather than copying values from another domain or an old guide.
Add the records
- Open the DNS management page at the provider hosting your domain's DNS.
- Create each record using the displayed Type, Host, Value and Priority.
- Remove conflicting MX or SPF records left by a previous mail provider.
- Save the changes.
DNS changes are often visible quickly but can take up to 24 hours to propagate. Existing DNS providers sometimes require only the relative host name, such as _dmarc, instead of the full domain name.
