An email alias receives mail at one address and forwards it to one or more destinations. It does not have its own inbox or password.
Create a forwarding alias
- Open your Hosted Email service in the ArkHost Client Area.
- Open the Aliases tab.
- Select Add Alias.
- Enter the alias address, such as
info@example.com. - Choose Forward to.
- Enter the destination address. Separate multiple destinations with commas.
- Choose whether the alias should be available as a sender in webmail.
- Select Add Alias.
Create a catch-all address
Enter the alias as @example.com and choose a destination. Mail sent to otherwise unknown addresses at the domain will be forwarded there.
Other alias actions
The alias form can also silently discard matching mail or send examples to the spam filter as junk or legitimate mail. These are advanced filtering actions, not forwarding destinations.
Delete an alias
Open the Aliases tab, select the bin button beside the alias and confirm. New mail to that alias will no longer be forwarded.
