Cancel a service or stop its renewal Print

  • 0

Request cancellation through the ArkHost Client Area rather than simply removing a payment card or leaving an invoice unpaid. Hosting services, domain registrations and payment subscriptions are separate records, so check each item you want to stop.

Before you cancel

  • Confirm the service name, domain and current billing period.
  • Download the website files, databases, mail and other data you need. Keep the copy outside the service being cancelled and check that it is usable.
  • Finish any migration and test the replacement before the old service ends.
  • Check whether the service supplies DNS or email that another website still needs.

Do not rely on being able to recover data after termination. Cancellation is not a backup or an automatic refund request.

Request an end-of-period cancellation

  1. Sign in to the ArkHost Client Area.
  2. Open Services > My Services and select the service you want to cancel.
  3. Choose Request Cancellation, check the service details and enter the reason.
  4. Change the cancellation type from Immediate to End of Billing Period. Check this selection before submitting so you request the end of the current paid period, not an early shutdown.
  5. Read any additional domain-renewal option carefully, then submit the request.
  6. Check that a cancellation confirmation or pending-cancellation notice appears. Keep the confirmation for your records.

The form also offers an immediate cancellation option. Do not choose it if you still need the service or its data. For an early shutdown or an uncertain end date, contact support before submitting. Our Terms of Service describe the normal end-of-billing-period policy.

If the button is unavailable, or you cannot tell whether the request was accepted, contact support with the service name. Do not submit requests for other services as a workaround.

Keep a domain, or stop its renewal

Cancelling hosting is not the same as transferring or cancelling a domain. If the cancellation form asks about the associated domain, leave domain cancellation unselected when you want to keep it. Review the domain's renewal settings separately under Domains > My Domains. Contact support if the desired renewal control is not available.

If you want to transfer the domain away, arrange the transfer while it is still active. Do not let it expire as a transfer method.

Check recurring billing

For a Paddle-billed service, also review the relevant subscription in the Paddle customer portal. Check its cancellation or next-payment status. If the service request and billing status do not agree, ask us to confirm both. Do not assume cancelling only in a payment portal has settled every ArkHost service or domain setting.

To withdraw a cancellation request or ask about a refund, contact support promptly. Reversal and recovery are not guaranteed once termination has been processed. Refund requests are handled separately under the applicable policy.
