Connect over SSH with root access. Use the IP address and username shown on the VPS details page in your ArkHost client area. Use the Password control there to request the password when you need it.
Check the service status in your client area after ordering. We will notify you when your VPS is ready. Provisioning time can vary; we do not guarantee a fixed number of minutes.
Choose your operating system during ordering. You can reinstall with another available operating system from Actions in the client area. Reinstalling erases the current disk data.
Your VPS includes 7 backup slots. In the client area you can view available backups and schedules, and restore a backup to the same VPS. Restoring replaces the current disk contents with that backup.
Yes. Open the browser console from the VPS details page in your ArkHost client area. SSH access is also available.
Contact support to discuss your CPU, memory or storage needs. There is no self-service package upgrade in the client area. We will confirm the available options before you make a change.
These VPS plans are hosted in Stockholm, Sweden.
Outbound SMTP on TCP port 25 is blocked by default to prevent spam, scams and abuse, and protect IP reputation. You must open a ticket with ArkHost support describing your intended mail use before sending directly. Unblocking is subject to review, is not guaranteed or automatic, and does not depend on your plan. Otherwise, outgoing mail requires an approved relay. Ask support about relay setup and applicable sending limits.
You can host legitimate websites, applications, databases, development and test environments, and a private VPN for yourself, your household or your organization. All uses must stay within your plan resources and acceptable-use rules.
A private VPN for yourself, your household or your organization's staff is allowed. Selling, renting or offering VPN, proxy or anonymization services to outside users is prohibited, even for free. Public proxies, commercial VPN services, VPN reselling and Tor exit nodes are prohibited.
Do not run cryptocurrency mining, staking, validation or other blockchain workloads. Spam, phishing, malware, attacks, illegal or copyright-infringing material, fraud and harassment are prohibited. So are network probing or port scanning without the target owner's explicit permission, and offering DDoS mitigation as a service.
CPU is shared under fair use. Short bursts at 100% are allowed; sustained saturation over days or weeks may be limited to around 50%. RAM and storage capacity are dedicated to your VPS. Disk I/O allowance averages your allocated storage capacity per day (1 DWPD). Short disk bursts are allowed; sustained excessive reads or writes can throttle disk performance without turning off the VPS.
Monthly included transfer is shown per plan. If you use it all, service may be suspended until more transfer is arranged; contact ArkHost support. Abuse or resource-policy violations can lead to limits or suspension. Severe abuse can cause immediate suspension.
