This guide will walk you through the process of creating a subdomain using your DirectAdmin control panel.
-
Log in to DirectAdmin
Access your DirectAdmin control panel using your account credentials.
-
Navigate to Subdomain Management
In the Account Manager section, locate and click on the "Subdomain Management" icon. Alternatively, type "Subdomain" in the navigation filter box, and then click on the "Subdomain Management" option when it appears.
-
Initiate Subdomain Creation
On the top right-hand side of the Subdomain Management page, click on the "Add Subdomain" button.
-
Enter Subdomain Details
In the "Subdomain" field, enter the name of the subdomain you wish to create. For example, if you want to create "blog.yourdomain.com", you would enter "blog" in this field.
-
Confirm Subdomain Creation
Review the entered information, then click on the "Add Subdomain" button to create your new subdomain.
-
Verify Creation
After completing these steps, your subdomain should be created. You can verify this by checking the list of subdomains on the Subdomain Management page.
Important Notes:
- Ensure that the subdomain name complies with naming conventions (use only letters, numbers, and hyphens).
- The new subdomain will inherit the document root of the main domain by default. You can change this in the subdomain settings if needed.
- It may take a short while for the new subdomain to become fully active across all DNS servers.
