Manual Setup Steps
- Add new account → Choose IMAP
- Select Manual Setup
- Enter settings:
- Email: your@domain.com
- Incoming: imap.arkhost.com:993 (SSL)
- Outgoing: smtp.arkhost.com:465 (SSL)
- Username: your@domain.com (full email)
- Password: Your password
- Enable "SMTP requires authentication"
- Test by sending email
Alternative Ports
If port 465 blocked, try:
- SMTP: Port 587 with STARTTLS
- SMTP: Port 25 (no encryption - not recommended)
Common Clients
Outlook: File → Add Account → Manual setup
Thunderbird: Settings → Account Actions → Add Mail Account
Apple Mail: Mail → Add Account → Other Mail Account
Mobile: Settings → Mail → Add Account → Other/IMAP
Troubleshooting
- Authentication failed: Use full email as username
- Can't send: Enable SMTP authentication
- Connection timeout: Try alternative ports
- Certificate warning: Accept for mail.arkhost.com
