If you're receiving spam emails from various addresses within the same domain, you can block the entire domain using DirectAdmin. This method is particularly effective against spammers who use random email addresses from a single domain.
-
Access Your DirectAdmin Account
Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel using your account credentials.
-
Navigate to SPAM Filters
In the E-mail Manager section:
- Click on the SPAM Filters icon, or
- Type "SPAM Filters" in the navigation filter box and select the option when it appears.
-
Configure Domain Blocking
In the SPAM Filters section:
- From the "Block By" drop-down menu, select the "Domain" option.
- In the "Value" field, enter the domain name you want to block. Important: Do not include "http://", "https://", or "www."
- Click the "Block" button to add the domain to your block list.
Blocking Multiple Domains:
To block additional domains, repeat steps 3a to 3c for each domain you want to block.
Tips for Effective Domain Blocking:
- Regularly review your blocked domain list to ensure it's up-to-date.
- Be cautious when blocking entire domains to avoid blocking legitimate senders.
- Consider using this feature in combination with other spam prevention methods for comprehensive protection.
Warning:
Blocking an entire domain will prevent all emails from that domain from reaching you. Make sure you're not expecting any important communications from the domain before blocking it.
