Display your primary website content under a different domain name (domain pointer).
How It Works
- Primary domain:
example.com - Additional domain:
example.net - Result: Visitors to example.net see example.com content, but URL stays example.net
Steps
-
Account Manager → Domain Pointers
-
Click Create Domain Pointer
-
Enter your additional domain (e.g., example.net)
-
Uncheck "Create as an Alias"
-
Click Create
Before You Start
The additional domain must use the same nameservers as your primary domain. Check with your domain registrar.
Common Issues
Domain pointer not working
- Verify nameservers match your primary domain
- Wait up to 48 hours for DNS propagation
- Check domain is active and not expired
Wrong option selected
- "Create as an Alias" = both domains show same URL
- Unchecked = each domain keeps its own URL
SSL certificate warnings
Domain pointers don't automatically get SSL certificates. Install SSL for the additional domain separately.
