How to Set Up Site Redirection in DirectAdmin

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a site redirection in your DirectAdmin account.

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin

Access your DirectAdmin control panel using your account credentials.

  2. Navigate to Site Redirection

In the Account Manager section, either:

    • Click on the Site Redirection icon, or
    • Type "Site Redirection" in the navigation filter box and click on the option when it appears.
  3. Create a New Redirect

Look for the "Create New Redirect" button in the top right corner of the page and click on it.

  4. Configure Local URL Path

In the "Local URL Path" field:

    • Enter a specific page name if you want to redirect a particular page, or
    • Leave it blank to redirect the entire website.
  5. Set Redirect Type and Destination

    • Choose the appropriate Redirect Type from the drop-down menu. Common options include 301 (Permanent) or 302 (Temporary).
    • In the "Destination URL" field, enter the full URL where you want to redirect your website or page.
  6. Create the Redirect

Click on the "Create" button to set up the redirect.

After completing these steps, your redirect will be active. Remember to test the redirect to ensure it's working as expected.

Note:

Redirects can affect your website's SEO. If you're setting up a permanent redirect, make sure it's necessary and implemented correctly.
