DirectAdmin provides a useful feature to filter out emails based on their size. This can help manage your inbox by blocking excessively large emails that might be suspicious or unnecessarily consume your storage space.

Access Your DirectAdmin Account
Log in to your arkhost.com DirectAdmin control panel using your account credentials.

Navigate to SPAM Filters
In the E-mail Manager section:
- Click on the SPAM Filters icon, or
- Type "SPAM Filters" in the navigation filter box and select the option when it appears.

Configure Size-based Filtering
In the SPAM Filters section:
- From the "Block By" drop-down menu, select the "Size" option.
- In the "Value" field, choose the unit (KB or MB) from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the maximum allowed email size in the text field.
- Click the "Block" button to activate the size-based filter.
Example:
If you select "MB" and enter "5" in the value field, all emails larger than 5MB will be blocked.
Tips for Effective Size-based Filtering:
- Consider your typical email usage when setting the size limit.
- Be aware that blocking emails by size might affect legitimate large attachments.
- Regularly review your size filter to ensure it meets your current needs.
Note:
You can adjust or remove this filter at any time by returning to the SPAM Filters section in DirectAdmin.
